Arc Flash Study for a new Outlet Mall

RTP conducted an Arc Flash Study for an Outlet mall in Washington, PA. The project involved conducting site visits to collect crucial data on power distribution equipment. Our team gathered information on transformer specifications, cable details, switch ratings, circuit breaker characteristics, protective relay types, fuse specifications, and more. Discrepancies between the collected data and existing diagrams were documented. RTP performed a Short Circuit Analysis and prepared a comprehensive protective device coordination study utilizing the collected data. 

We addressed selectivity issues by providing revised fuse ratings and relay settings, and determined safety parameters such as the Flash Protection Boundary and Hazard/Risk Category. Our project delivered accurate documentation, analysis, labeling adherence, revised drawings, and a final report providing valuable insights for enhanced operational efficiency.
