Roles and Responsibilities: Perform and/or manage all phases of business development from sales strategies, new client development, client account management, market analysis, competitor intel, proposal and pricing generation, contract negotiation, and oversight of the operational seller-doers. Qualifications:

• Have a working knowledge and more than 5 years of experience in sales, preferably for

• Advanced interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to cold call, negotiate with clients, and speak publicly.
• Ability to read and interpret technical information, financial reports, and legal documents.

Patterson Company has an immediate opening in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office for a full-time Structural Department Manager to design and implement heavy industrial facility (new and existing) equipment and structural foundations, piles, mill buildings, structures/platforms, and pipe racks/supports. To do well in this role we you are a licensed professional engineer and have extensive experience as a Civil/Structural engineer conforming to the following responsibilities and requirements.

Structural Engineer Responsibilities:

• Perform basic and advanced engineering analysis and design for heavy industrial facilities. Implement design or analysis tasks in accordance with building code requirements.
• Collect. review, and prepare data and information (Design Criteria) needed for project design.
• Conduct field/site trips and investigations associated with a project where you will obtain needed information and measurements.
• Supervise the work of other engineers and CAD technicians/designers.
• Manage design work from beginning to end.
• Review of construction drawings.
• Review and approval of fabrication drawings.
• Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
• Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential structural engineering projects and studies.

Structural Engineer Requirements:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering degree from an ABET accredited school.
• 10+ years relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC, Mill Building standards.
• Proficient in design and calculation software – STAAD.Pro and/or RISA 3D.
• Knowledge of civil/structural Excel spreadsheets and MathCAD preferred.
• Proven expertise as a Structural Engineer.
• Must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD. Knowledge of Advanced Steel is a plus.

To do well in this role we would prefer that you are a licensed professional engineer and have extensive experience as an electrical engineer conforming to the following responsibilities and requirements.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for heavy industrial facilities.
• Experience working in heavy industrial facilities and performing field investigations and assessments.
• Ability to complete low & medium voltage power systems, instrumentation, and controls designs. (Medium voltage, power and control, 5kV, 480 volt and below)
• Working knowledge of arc flash analysis software such as ETAP.
• PLC programming experience is a plus. (Allen Bradley experience a plus) (Automation experience)

• Develop execution plans of project deliverables.
• Participate in studies preparing cost estimates for electrical systems.
• Assist in specifying electrical system components for low voltage and medium voltage systems.
• Collaborate with electrical and process engineers, clients, owners, and vendors. Lead the engineering design, and drafting staff to generate installation details, motor elementaries, Panel Layouts and schematics, and plan drawings identifying locations of motors, electrical loads, electrical equipment placement, embedded/exposed conduit and/or cable tray layouts.
• Develop Electrical Equipment list including Motor Control Centers, Motors, Electrical Boxes and Cabinets, and Electrical Devices for use in the development of Conduit and Cable Schedules
• Review vendor cable specification requirements develop project cable specifications for use in the development of Conduit and Cable Schedules.
• Develop Conduit and Cable schedules based on project designs and/or Vendor supplied documents.
• Review and integrate Vendor equipment documentation into construction packages of work. Lead project checking teams to review the engineering drawings and document packages.
• Provide technical direction to design and drafting staff.
• Visit customer sites to gather field data for detailed design.
• Provide field support during construction, commissioning, and start-up.

Electrical Designer Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of NEC and electrical construction methods and materials.
• 10-15 years’ experience in design of electrical systems or electrical maintenance or engineering.
• Experience with electrical systems in the Steel and Aluminum industry is preferred.
• Experience in other light and heavy industry is also acceptable.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
• Proficiency in CAD software is required.
